The Digital Documentation Centre (ADD) at the Institute of the History of Art jointly operated by the Research Unit is headed by Dr. Klaus Weber. It came into being in 2008 out of the Central Photographic Laboratory of the University and the photographic laboratory of the Institute of the History of Art and takes on varied tasks in the field of analogue and digital photo and reproduction documentation. This includes, among other things, the digitising of opaque originals (books, maps, posters etc. up to A 1 format), translucent originals (slides, films etc. up to A 4 format) and microfilms / microfiches. In addition, the ADD offers individual advice and training in the fields of photographic recording, image processing and archiving.
